How He Proposed

Well, to understand this story requires a small bit of explanation...about a video game. For years Ellie has been playing a game known as World of Warcraft, an online game that allows you to interact with other people from around the world while playing as a character you create. Despite his warnings about how he would become addicted to the game (which has, sadly, happened), Ellie introduced Alex to WoW (as it is often called). Within the game there are various items that you can purchase for your character to use, and these have pictures

and writing that go with them. Alex found one known as "Flawless Diamond Solitaire", a ring. What made this so special was the writing on it, which read "Will you marry me?" Being the sappy romantic that he is, on Valentine's Day of 2008 Alex went to Ellie's house and told her to log into WoW with him, because he wanted to show her something. They got their characters together so Alex could make his kneel (the characters can also lay down and sit down) and give a wrapped present to Ellie's character. When she opened it, she went silent, and Alex was very scared, and after a pause she said yes (right before Alex was going to start making excuses about it being a joke or something of the like in case she said no).
